Tap into the spirit of adventure travel with the Tectonic H2O jacket. A modular yet climate-adaptable garment that’s ready to take you to places you’ve always wanted to go. How it works We took some of our best ADV off-road ideas, along with those from our ADV touring end of the scale, and mixed them to create a jacket known as the Tectonic H2O. A smart layering system that allows riders to enjoy full airflow when needed but also waterproofing and breathability should the weather take a turn for the worse. Design meets Function Keeping things fresh is a subtle print on the outer shell along with tasteful color blocking and very defined lines. And speaking of outer shells, the Tectonic H2O is constructed of a durable 3L polyester ripstop along with 3L hydratex waterproofing, you know, to keep the rain out when it starts to pour. It’s then coupled with an inner PWR|Shell mesh jacket to allow air to flow toward the body on the days when you need it the most. Zip them together and add your own favorite base (or mid) layer, and that’s a recipe for success. It’s important to note that the waterproof jacket does not have included armor, it is however CE Class B Certified, and it is not meant to be worn as a standalone piece when riding, but acts as the waterproofing layer over the AA safety-rated mesh jacket. Smart solutions Ventilation on the outer shell can be found inside the arms, a panel along the center front, and exhaust vents behind. And to give riders that extra bit of personal touch, a hook-and-loop patch area along the upper arm of the outer shell allows you to swap out your different patches whenever you want. You can even store those patches in the varies pockets, or the large stash pocket at the lower back.

That legacy continues with the Sand 5 H2O jacket. The Evolution The latest iteration of the Sand series represents an evolution rather than a revolution. This change is marked by small tweaks and adjustments aimed at enhancing its overall performance. The Sand 5 jacket (as part of the Sand 5 outfit with matching pants) remains as relevant today as it was 15 years ago. In crafting the Sand 5, a delicate balance is struck, paying homage to the past while looking towards the future. Shifting Styles The Sand 5 H2O jacket takes on a slightly more sport-driven character compared to the Sand 4. Stay dry when it’s wet thanks to the inclusion of 2L GORE-TEX waterproofing. It not only makes the Neptune 3 GTX stronger in terms of keeping the water out, but more versatile over multiple seasons. Keeping you warm in the inclusion of a detachable thermal liner, which has the extra perk of a high collar for additional coverage and comfort in the cold. When the sun is out and ready to play, and you take the thermal liner out, you’re able to direct ample airflow to the body thanks to our patented VCS|Aquadefence system with the magnetic FidLock® fasteners. Open or close them even with gloves on.

Tailored to you
While the Neptune 3 GTX jacket’s sole purpose in its existence is to keep riders dry and safe, that doesn’t mean we couldn’t add some classy finishing touches to it. For example, the Hypalon design on front and back where the waistband adjustments are gives the Neptune 3 GTX an even a more upscale feel, and the heavy-duty hang strap around back gives it a nice pop of color against a neutral color palette. As for its functional features, you’ll find two large waterproof flap pockets at the front, complete with magnetic closure, to access your small belongings that you carry on you. Around back is also a slit pocket. And a zippered card holder pocket on the left sleeve takes away the need to reach into your bag or backpack to pull out your form of payment.

On the safety front
The Neptune 3 GTX jacket comes with a AA safety rating, along with included SEEFLEX elbow and shoulder protection. It also comes with prepared pockets for both our back protector insert or the divided chest protectors. And no matter where you find the armor, you’ll also find it surrounded by a soft spacer mesh fabric that creates less friction when moving around, which in turn, makes it more comfortable for the wearer.
