Merlin Chigwell Lite Waxed Cotton Jacket
Designed for riding in even the hottest of weather, Chigwell Lite features mesh panels to the front and rear for optimised airflow. Constructed from Merlin-exclusive Cotec, which is produced by Halley Stevensons, Chigwell Lite is lightweight, at only 8oz opposed to the 12oz of a traditional wax cotton. The jacket is finished off with a five-piece D3O armour set (shoulders, elbows and back), double-A CE approval and a short YKK jacket-to-trouser connection zip. Available in sizes S-4XL.

Caring for your Chigwell Lite jacket
To care for your jacket, begin by lightly brushing off any dirt or soil, and use a cold damp cloth if necessary to wipe down the jacket. Clean it in this way regularly to maintain its appearance, but don’t be too harsh as the wax will be removed. You can re-wax the jacket with our Merlin Wax Cotton Tin when it loses its waxed finish and water begins to soak into the cotton rather than bead off. The SEESOFT™ CE-Level 2 back protector insert is designed to absorb variable impacts without compromising on comfort, ventilation or freedom of movement. The highly impact-resistant blend of Nitrille and Polynorbornene rubber results in a memory foam that is multi-impact rated and CE certified to the highest level (EN 1621-2:2003 - level 2).

In the case of severe angular impact, the individual Memory foam layers will shift relative to one another, resulting in impact dispersion over a larger effective surface area, and therefore minimizing the energy that is transmitted to the spine and back.
By applying a multiple-layer concept, REV’IT! has developed a flexible back protector insert that performs consistently in all conditions.

The SEESOFT Air is our extra ventilated CE-level 2 back protector insert that is designed to absorb variable impacts without compromising comfort, ventilation, or freedom of movement. By increasing the number and the frequency ventilation holes (there are more holes and they are bigger!) in the back protector insert, body heat and evaporated perspiration can easily escape, helping the rider cool down quicker or to keep things dry when riding in higher temperatures.
